Dark Night of the Soul
I’ve had this thing rattling around in my head since the other day. I’m not totally sure if it is one or two poems. What do you think?

What vivid images of change you paint with just a few words!
I think this is very cohesive, with the first being nature calling out from the mist and the rain, and the second turning the thoughts to ourselves and maybe all saint’s day lighting a candle.
I think it is one poem. Well said.
Such lovely imagery here!
I like it as one. The first stanza sets the tone for the second, builds up to it. “Do dawn / Dark Night Of The Soul” – a dramatic declaration of acceptance and drive to grow and thrive. Wonderful!
oh, yeah, one piece for sure…one GOOD piece.
I experienced this on my drive back north just this afternoon. Well done.
This comes together as one poem. Change of seasons and changes in our life. Lovely!
The short lines are very effective with this subject matter.
It has a punchy progress to it that carries the reader along.
