Humans Really Don’t Know

“The Sea Inside”  painting by Samy Charnine

Humans really don’t know
How life is to stardust souls
Forced to hibernate like bears in snow
Only feeling the truth trough small portholes

Humans really don’t know
How life with an awakened soul
Could lead to a constant flow
Of abundant love through soul’s window

Humans really don’t know
How life led by true purpose of soul
Where gratitude leads to divine inner glow
Calmly transform their minds inner fishbowl

Humans really don’t know
How to manifest all they want via their souls
How to choose lifelong learning and growth
How into spiritual living while in flesh enroll

Written in response to the beautiful and thought inducing painting at Sunday Muse # 105. Made me read up on the symbolism on Koi fish. And they seem to symbolize a whole bunch of good things. Tenacity, Wealth, Abundance, Luck, Courage, Transformation, Uniqueness, Non-conformity, Family Strength and have lots of Buddhist Connotations. (source)

Are you okay, he asks
I smile, but feel my mask
Slip, crack, shatter

Everyday from dawn to dusk
I weather the storm as we all must
Strong, calm, serving

At night, alone with moonlight
I need someone to tell me, it’ll be alright
Sorrow, cry, solitude

Dreaming of your hug
Feeling safe and snug
Share, comfort, space

When we’re free at last
Nothing will keep us apart
Caring, close. contact

Whatever the season
There’ll be plenty of reason
Sunshine, carefree, smile

Inspiration like everything else seems to have it’s cycles and seasons. Today after feeling very low I got the idea to finish a piece I started but couldn’t finish 31 March.

At the end of every week
We kids demand a treat
To kick-back and enjoy
Our screens
Not the outside or our toys
So the house fills with the sound
Of mommy humming while corn pop around
Of us fighting over which cartoon
Will lend magic and wonder to our afternoon
Then the whole family settle in
In the big sofa for a fantasy spin
Movie, snacks and favorite foods
School free weekend in our mood
Herald by the traditional Friday-Cozy
Snug family time until we’re all drowsy

Since the 1990’s there’s been something called Fredagsmys in Sweden. Wikipedia has this to say (my translation as there is not an English page, and I have no energy right now to make one).

Fredagsmys what I’ve named Friday-Cosy, is activities where friends or family gather to mark the end of the work week and get into weekend mood. What we do depends on each group or family. According to ethnologist Charlotte Hagström at Lunds universitet the common factor is that the food tend to be easy to cook, or of the take away variety.

Written in the book of dust
Between worlds
In the midnight days
The wind on the moon
Prophecy good omens
Stardust from the bones of the Moon
Fall over smoke and mirrors
The garden of shadows
Where seekers await
The lovedeath-rebirth
Of goddess initiation

I’ve done this with song titles before, but not with book titels. Equally fun and tricky.

Gratitude list

As you might have noticed, I’m having a bad time.

So no better time to try something new!

5 Things I’m grateful for today!

  • Allowing myself time spent in nature and spring sunlight.
  • That I have meditation to lean on.
  • That I’ve managed to keep writing.
  • Thankful for all the joy and positive energy I get from dancing.
  • The possibility and opportunity to get out and see the world, carefully keeping physical distance.

Sitting here, listening to the waves and birdsong. Life feel a bit less bleak.

Struggling Mind

Struggling mind
Swirling around
Trying peace to find

Anxious mind
Startling allround
No grace to be found

Fear filled mind
Urging to hide
Don’t hope for something kind

Stormclouded mind
Rejecting bright sunshine
Closing heart to hopes deep mine

Abuse programmed mind
Cued to put me down
All affirmations hollow find

Lonesome mind
Echoing soul’s cry
Loving kindness unfulfilled prophecy

Bleak depressed kind
Millions lonely just wanting to be found
Today meditation couldn’t ease my mind

In September last year, meaning the first month back blogging, I wrote a piece called Bad day, about the days that PTSD and my clinical depression puts me so low I would like to just go hide. (Or die depending on how bad it gets.)

Today was such a day when the fact there’s no one to reach out to, felt like the worst thing ever, all I wanted was to hide away and cry.

Instead I did my meditation, tried to go about my day as normal and dragged myself to practice (since we’re advised physical distance rather then lockdown). It didn’t really help, but tomorrow I’ll know I did most of what I aimed today. And hopefully that will give me something.

From one depressed soul to all others

All my love and take care of yourself!

She Tasted Like Memory

I

He arose in historys murky fog
At first his undead longevity pleased him
He reveled in seeing the bigger picture
Humans can not, due to their short span
He delighted in play with susceptible people

II

As the centuries wore on, amusement wore off
Humanity never seemed to learn over time
His games all played out predictively
Eventually he became creake and old
Stale in his mind and ways
Remnant of the dark ages

III

History repeated itself again
Pandemic racing the now connected globe
Modern humanity reduced to medieval fears
Where’s the contagion?
Locking down and freezing in fear and panic

IV

Quoriously, he found a pocket of calm
Far to the North
There he found something he thought lost to the world
A taste he hadn’t had in ages
A searching enlightened soul

She tasted like memory

I sometimes get an urge to write stories on the form of poems. This prompt did just that. Other examples is The ivory lighthouse and Fluitschip Zwaluw which happens to be part of the same larger tale.

Lost in Love’s First Flush

Photo by Aleksey Kuprikov on Pexels.com

Over the rainbow. Seduced by trust.
Dreamy infatuation. Wholehearted crush.
Finally here. My soul’s fairest.
Eyes lock. My whole body blush.
Clothes gone. Blown away like dust.
Lips meet. Heartbeats rush.
Falling together. Into the arms of lust.
Blissfully lost in love’s first flush.
