Swift – A Quadrille

Swift as thoughts, my love for you
Loud as gunshots, my longing for you

Swift as towersailers, my fall for you
Lous as a wailer, my cry for you

Swift as a racehorse, I run to you
Strong as galeforce, my lust for you

Written for tonight’s Quadrille prompt at dVerse.

In Swedish the common swift is called a towersailer, due to their habit of nesting in church towers.

Did you know the common swift can reach speeds over 200km/h (124 mph) when plunging!

Read other Quadrilles by me here.
