Be an uncrushed flower Radiating true passions colourful power Let love, truth and trust fear and doubt devour Invoke creativity’s cleaning shower
An inner star shining through entrance Nature’s cycles intuition enhance Burst into constellations of dance Follow the music to a state of trance
Love can be a monster, or not Learn to love yourself first, whatever you’ve been taught Relearn where validation is sought Forgive all the unkind self degrading thoughts
Dance with joy like there’s no tomorrow Flourish like a flower not knowing sorrow Love freely all colours of the rainbow Live compassionately in the firebrand’s glow
A terzetto is a composition for three voices. I would love to know if this serpentine formatting makes that clearly heard or if it just confuses the whole thing.
No foggy-limbo, fear-filled, half-hidden life Ferried by old trauma Expose all ghosts, goblins Fill every shadow with healing light Release all hurt, sorrow Fill heart and soul with true meaning Live your authentic self Find hearts hope What’s to fear? Fulfill your dreams, desires
All manner of words are special Without word of every kind I’d never met my first friends Those I found while reading The only ones I had through childhood and adolescence
All manner of words are special Without word of every kind I’d never found the mould of poetry In which I fit the right words The ones that express and process my traumas
All manner of words are special Without word of every kind I’d never been able to share my passions Express my true and authentic self To experience shared compassion between wordsmiths
I tried to make a list of word that are special to me and found out that’s the ones that are recurring themes in all my poetry. Which should surprise no one as writing is very self revealing. Books, beauty, creativity, dance, faith, Goddess, heart, honesty, life, light, love, lust, magic, mind, music, passion, trust, song, soul, sound, strong, writing, words.
So in the end I wrote a poem about why words of every flavor is dear to my heart!
