Flower, Dance, Love

Be an uncrushed flower.

Be an uncrushed flower
Radiating true passions colourful power
Let love, truth and trust fear and doubt devour
Invoke creativity’s cleaning shower

An inner star shining through entrance
Nature’s cycles intuition enhance
Burst into constellations of dance
Follow the music to a state of trance

Love can be a monster, or not
Learn to love yourself first, whatever you’ve been taught
Relearn where validation is sought
Forgive all the unkind self degrading thoughts

Dance with joy like there’s no tomorrow
Flourish like a flower not knowing sorrow
Love freely all colours of the rainbow
Live compassionately in the firebrand’s glow

Coin – A Terzetto, Ekphrastic Challenge, January 18

Kerfe Roig – Intermediary

Breath freezes to ice
Burn scolding for every vice

Breath awakens buds bloom
Quickening soul seed in womb

Breath follow it’s way to grow
Learn life’s ebb and flow

Sight piercing dark arrow
Judging down to bone and marrow

Sight perceiving all pain
Healing without assigning blame

Sight without judging and blame
There’s no stigma or shame

Voice lashing all pray
Tender dreams slay

Voice stroking tears away
Loving confers every day

Voice chiming clear
Grateful for everything dear

Heart full of trembling fear
Nothing get touching near

Heart full of caring love
Nesting as a safe dove

Heart full of compassion
Guide you to find your passion

Kunning beyond time and space
Trauma mind and heart forever chase

Kunning beyond time and space
Ascending to glowing grace

Kunning beyond time and space
Transforming old trauma to creativity’s birthplace

Wisdom to turn a mind dark
Offences a shriveled heart mark

Wisdom older than Earth’s ages
Shining beacon in all life’s stages

Wisdom to take the reins
Reforging sword and shield from trauma chains

Magic to glamour and lure
Listen to inner saboteur

Magic to unravel mysteries
Find passion will soul please

Magic the mother’s boon
Found scy-clad beneath the moon

Together Seven flaming points
Interweave opposing viewpoints

Together separate sides spawn
Bright champion for a new dawn

Imbued with both’s might
She stand ready to fight
Any who violate others rights

A terzetto is a composition for three voices. I would love to know if this serpentine formatting makes that clearly heard or if it just confuses the whole thing.

Kunning is an Faraoe word.

All manner of words are special

Pedro Soler Bueno [CC BY 3.0]

All manner of words are special
Without word of every kind
I’d never met my first friends
Those I found while reading
The only ones I had through childhood and adolescence

All manner of words are special
Without word of every kind
I’d never found the mould of poetry
In which I fit the right words
The ones that express and process my traumas

All manner of words are special
Without word of every kind
I’d never been able to share my passions
Express my true and authentic self
To experience shared compassion between wordsmiths

All manner of words are special

I tried to make a list of word that are special to me and found out that’s the ones that are recurring themes in all my poetry. Which should surprise no one as writing is very self revealing.
Books, beauty, creativity, dance, faith, Goddess, heart, honesty, life, light, love, lust, magic, mind, music, passion, trust, song, soul, sound, strong, writing, words.

So in the end I wrote a poem about why words of every flavor is dear to my heart!
