I’ve had a dance workshop this week so this weekend’s song is from there. No Way from the musical Six, performed by Renée Lamb.
I’d never heard of this musical before which feels like I’ve missed something. The song is powerful and gives an opportunity to dance decisively, full of girl power. I’m sorry I can’t show the choreography, but there is the issue of copyright and privacy for everyone else in the class.
Six is a British musical with book, music, and lyrics by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. The musical is a modern retelling of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII presented as a pop concert, as the wives take turns singing and telling their story to see who suffered the most due to Henry and should, therefore, become the group’s lead singer.
