March Morning Meditation

Morning dawns

Frost covering the lawns

Ten below zero

Radiating fairy glow

Cold and clear

No hint spring is near

Soon there’s a haze

Icy cold air rising

Lifted by the sun’s rays

Winter vaporising

Gentle touch on skin

Warmth starts to seep in

Giving cause

To slow down and pause

Halt the morning commute

Let deep breaths inner landscape transmute

Calms and quiets the angry anxious din

Roaring deep within

Giving peace and clarity of thought

Reducing the turmoil chaos wrought

Showing there’s no need to hesitate

Seek the benefits of taking a short moment to breathe and meditate

Changing the trajectory of morning and day

Allowing what the world throws at you to be handled in a more constructive conductive way

For the first time in ages I felt the drive to meditate. I’m grateful I did. Since it both started off my day in a better way, and sparked my creativity to write a short poem on my morning commute.

Snowflakes Dances Down – 8 December (2021 Re-post)

Snowflakes dances down
Tickling nose and cheeks
Covering the world with a down blanket

Muffles every sound
Except the footfalls squeak
The swish of a winter jacket

Breath deep and ground
With your hidden sides speak
Plant seeds for regrowth under the snow carpet

Re-post comment:

Looking for a post to fit both Wandering the Archives Wednesday and the Advent Calendar I came across this from February of this year. And I wanted to share the wonder of a snowy winter.

Enjoy!

Breathe Deep. Breath Slow. – A Mantra (2020 Re-post)

© RedCat

Breathe deep. Breath slow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Take your time to inward go.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Cultivate space to grow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Investigates what lies below.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Release all that keeps you low.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Accept all there is in the now.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Connect to life force flow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Listen to your higher self say so.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Learn what wisdom want you to know.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Changed awareness new seeds sow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Let the winds of change blow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Trust your soul your path to show.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Bathe in inner divine glow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.
Let the universe its love bestow.

Breathe deep. Breath slow.

Re-post comment:

For tonight’s Wandering the Archives Wednesday.
I’ll share this meditation mantra.
I think of it whenever I feel I need to calm and center myself.
I might not repeat all the lines, but enough repetitions of just
Breathe deep, breathe slow
works just as well.

Enjoy!

I like repetitions and rhymes. I also like meditation and mantras. :-)
“Breath deep. Breath slow.” – was the first meditation poem I wrote. Which coincides with the first day I started to seriously meditate. Right now I’m thankful for the fact that I managed to make it into a habit before the pandemic started. Without that daily dose of peace and grounding. Without that self-care, I think my depression would have bloomed right now, fueled my the ongoing catastrophe.

Re-post comment:

Looking for what to re-post for today’s wander in the archives this meditation poem gave me strength and peace of mind. Hope you can feel some of that too!

Enjoy!

The first warm sun rays of spring
Warm upon my cheek
A breeze turns it into gentle caress
Brilliant light dances behind closed lids
First spring touch kiss my lips
Natures warm embrace surrounds me
Comforting, healing
Life affirming

The Goddess gently touches
Starburst erupts
Showering me with universal love
Connecting me to me
To every living thing
Assuring me there will be a way
A path out of darkness
My trek dotted with oases of calm
Peace, connection, love
Moments of bliss

Secure points in a bewildering maze
Built of old and new trauma
Fear, sorrow, dark despair
Life-ending depression

Inner trust and faith will guide me through
Inborn strength a given armour
Intelligens, wit and wisdom deduce true from false
The quest might be lonely
Yet aided by care and love
Freely given, by friends yet to be found

Breathe
Be still
Accept
Give thankfulness

Use your pen
Jot both now and then
Hone your craft
Draft by draft
Writing will illuminate
Meditation germinate
Revision concentrate
New life emancipate

Today again the will to make poetry out of my meditation overtook me soon thereafter. :-)

Humans Really Don’t Know (2020 Re-post)

“The Sea Inside”  painting by Samy Charnine

Humans really don’t know
How life is to stardust souls
Forced to hibernate like bears in snow
Only feeling the truth trough small portholes

Humans really don’t know
How life with an awakened soul
Could lead to a constant flow
Of abundant love through soul’s window

Humans really don’t know
How life led by true purpose of soul
Where gratitude leads to divine inner glow
Calmly transform their minds inner fishbowl

Humans really don’t know
How to manifest all they want via their souls
How to choose lifelong learning and growth
How into spiritual living while in flesh enroll

Re-post comment:
Wednesday and time to wander the archives. Since it’s GloPoWriMo 2021 I thought I’d share one of the most read post from April last year. The original was posted 26 April 2020.

Enjoy!

Written in response to the beautiful and thought inducing painting at Sunday Muse # 105. Made me read up on the symbolism on Koi fish. And they seem to symbolize a whole bunch of good things. Tenacity, Wealth, Abundance, Luck, Courage, Transformation, Uniqueness, Non-conformity, Family Strength and have lots of Buddhist Connotations. (source)

The Flame of Awareness

The flame of awareness
Never wavers, never dims

Always there to guide us
Teach compassion, teach love’s no sin

Even bottled up it steers us
Sudden insights, intuition flashing

Drives us to learn lessons
Again and again

Dare to reach for that sacred flame
Passions revealed, life path gained

Honour the will to search within
Open space, draw breath in

Approach with love, tenderly
Let truth free you, let truth win
