Different World After

There will be a different world after
In the future nothing keeps us apart
Smiles full of kisses and carefree laughter
Minds seeking wisdom, life together starts
Newfound hope grows love and light in our hearts
Open honesty builds foundation trust
Playing together with passion born lust

Frank hosts The Perfect Seven Lines in Meeting the Bar over at dVerse. The challenge is to write a poem with seven lines. He also says: “The number 7 suggests “perfection” for some and so in the midst of this virus and market volatility, I was looking for something positive to think of rather than the uncertainty we are in.”

I took the extra challenge to write a Chaucerian stanza or Rhyme Royal, a seven-line poem in iambic pentameter with a rhyme scheme of ABABBCC, and try to keep it light, positive and hopeful.
