In the future nothing keeps us apart
Smiles full of kisses and carefree laughter
Minds seeking wisdom, life together starts
Newfound hope grows love and light in our hearts
Open honesty builds foundation trust
Playing together with passion born lust
Frank hosts The Perfect Seven Lines in Meeting the Bar over at dVerse. The challenge is to write a poem with seven lines. He also says: “The number 7 suggests “perfection” for some and so in the midst of this virus and market volatility, I was looking for something positive to think of rather than the uncertainty we are in.”
I took the extra challenge to write a Chaucerian stanza or Rhyme Royal, a seven-line poem in iambic pentameter with a rhyme scheme of ABABBCC, and try to keep it light, positive and hopeful.

Such an idyllic future to look forward to. I hope it comes to pass.
Good point that we will find that hope to grow love and light.
Oh, I hope so!
Yes, I think the whole world will feel like a party for a few days. We will appreciate all those things we took for granted before.
I hope this doesn’t change everything as some say. I think we are better than that and will embrace each other again.
Why wait? Seems like we can start this one right now: “love and light in our hearts and open honesty.”
