Tears out of the eyes of a doll
Thrown out, forgotten and forsaken
Feeling unloved, abandoned and small
Life no longer by touch awakenedThrown out, forgotten and forsaken
No longer cared for at all
Left cold and weather beatenFeeling unloved, abandoned and small
Laying ditched and shunned
Lost in better times recallLife no longer by touch awakened

Waiting for eternal darkness to fall
Brings tears out of the eyes of a doll
Written for this week’s Sunday Muse.
Written in the Trimeric form, with a rhyme scheme of Abab bab aba baA, where a capital denotes a repeated line.
Also shared to Promote Yourself Mondays at GO DOG GO CAFÉ.
An amazing response to the image RedCat! I love the poetic form and the ending is stunning!
Thank you for your kind words. ❤️ Where a bit worried others might find it to dark or sad.
I really like this form, which I was not familiar with, and what you did with it! I am going to have to try it soon.
Thank you! 🌹 I only learnt it a short while ago, but I really like it.
Such a woeful tale for the doll :(
Yes, she looked so sad and lonely to me. Reminded me of those paintings with crying children.
Trimeric! Very cool…
Thank you!
It’s a fun form.
NICE ONE…SO BUT IS JUST CAST ASIDE…SO MUCH INSENSITIVITY DESPLAYED
HAPPY SUNDAY
MUCH❤LOVE
Loved the Trimeric form. So many emotions in the poem!
Bravo on the Trimeric – so suitable with the repeat lines like the wailing of abandonment
I really enjoy reading this form …. you presented it to us beautifully.
It is sad to see an abandoned doll. It makes me wonder if a child simply grew tired or if it is the image of heartbreak because it was lost.
This is sad and very moving Helene — unfortunately, not only dolls get abandoned.
This was heartbreaking.
